Mission
To nurture student leaders who are empowered to grow, practice leadership behaviour, serve the community actively and are able to exercise voice and choice 

Developing the Capacity of Student Leaders
(a) The school adopts the Student Leadership Challenge Model in the development of the Leadership Competencies in every student to become a Confident Leader through the Self-Leadership Programme for Secondary One Students and Peer-Leadership Programme for Secondary Two Students. 

In the Self-Leadership Programme, students will be able to discover and affirm own strengths, needs and values and be able to apply skills to transit successfully from primary to secondary school. 

In the Peer-Leadership Programme, students will be able to appreciate diversity and work together to foster better understanding of one another, and develop teamwork, inter-personal skills and social awareness. 


(b) The Youth Leadership Development Camp aims to equip Secondary Two student leaders with the knowledge and skills of leadership by aligning with the MOE Social Emotional Learning (SEL) framework, and The Student Leadership Challenge (Kouzes & Posner, 2008). Based on the Experiential Learning Approach by David A Kolb, the students will: 
  • Enhance self-awareness and management
  • Build self-confidence – Improve communication skills
  • Learn and apply the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership
  • Develop project management and decision making skills 

(c) The Student Leaders Lecture Series is a platform to give greater insights and different perspectives of leadership through an address by and dialogue with the guest speaker. 

Opportunities for Application of Leadership Skills
(a) The Secondary One Orientation Programme is a platform for the Student Councillors and the CCA Leaders to collaborate and work together to plan and implement an orientation programme to create a sense of belonging for the Secondary One students. 

(b) The 14th Student Council Executive Committee (Exco) initiates a Project ‘X’ where the objectives of the project are determined by the 14th Student Council Exco. In 2018, the 14th Student Council Exco embarks on the Gratitude Project where they capture the memorable or touching moments of students and staff to show their appreciation and gratitude. This Gratitude Project marks their ability to innovate and lives up the school motto Service to All. 

(c) The school councillors collaborates with the Humanities Department to support and implement school-wide Environmental Programmes to promote or create awareness of environmental issues to the student body.

(d) The school councillors collaborates with the CCE committee to support and implement school-wide Digital Wellness programme to promote digital wellness to the student body


Recognition for Student Leaders
(a) The Student Leaders Investiture is a ceremony in which Class Leaders, CCA Leaders and Student Councillors are recognised and includes a symbolic handover of leadership responsibilities. 

(b) Outstanding Leader Awards are given to deserving student leaders who exhibit outstanding leadership skills in contributing to the school.
